The Ryde campus of TAFE NSW’s Northern Sydney Institue is the largest hospitality training centre in the Asia Pacific region. Home to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute, the Australian Patisserie Academy and the Sydney Wine Academy, TAFE NSW at Ryde is the place to be for aspiring master chefs.
Ichor were engaged by TAFE NSW to construct a new Asian Cookery Facility and Wine Tasting teaching space at the Ryde campus, as well as completing an extensive HVAC upgrade for the building.
The fitout of two specialised commercial kitchens has been designed to cater for students studying all varieties of regional Asian cuisines. The campus will be the only one in the state to offer Asian Cookery training.
The high end, state of the art Wine Tasting teaching space, as part of the Sydney Wine Academy, will accommodate future sommeliers, as well as everyday wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs. The facility includes the fit out of a full bar, as well as a tasting room.
